About Sansar
I am currently a student at UCSB. I first started tutoring students in Physics my junior year of high school and discovered I have a strong passion for helping others. Since then, I have tutored 6 students in subjects such as AP Calculus and Physics, and they all went on to achieving high grades in their classes and 4 or 5's on the respective AP Test. As for myself, I have gotten high A's on all math courses I've taken, earned 5's on all my AP Tests in Math and Physics, and gotten perfect scores on both the SAT Math section and SAT Subject Test for Math II and Physics.

In my lessons, I emphasize having a deeper conceptual understanding of a subject, rather than simply memorizing methods or formulas. In a lesson I typically give students problems to see what they know and don't know, then we work from there. All students I teach have found that their problem-solving skills are much stronger having gotten high-level insight into the relevant subject.

Details
Typically if I have to travel more than around 5 to 10 miles, I will charge at least $5 more for that lesson. For more advanced math like Calculus I will charge $25/hr, but that is usually my max. I also can make improved rates for longer sessions or multiple hours upfront such as $30 for a 2-hour session. Overall, I am very flexible with schedules as well.
