About Rachit

I am a fellow student just like you currently at KCL.

I have been a student to many different kinds of teachers from academic to sports. I have had experiences with many different teaching styles as a recent graduate from school, highschool and university I have had the chance to experience many different teaching styles, some of which I liked and some which were too boring. I know and understand what students tend to like and dislike and hence I change my styles accordingly.

I have always wanted to help people especially students who need it. I have always loved teaching my friends and solving other peoples problems. This is something I wish to experience more often and in the process help some students gain better grades. I would also like to become more independent by earning money which will allow me to not take a lot of money from my parents and I believe teaching the best subjects I know is a good way to help students in need, enjoy the process and also earn money to become independent.

I am also a professional tennis player for the past 14 years, I have been an athlete in the past and I enjoy cooking and playing any other kind of sports as well.

About the lesson

Teaching Technique: I believe teaching techniques should be flexible and should be catered to every student as per their requirements. I prefer to teach the student in a way they are comfortable and have the best chance at grasping all the knowledge. I believe in starting any topic at the root of it and working my way up to the completion of the topic rather than starting in the middle. I tend to explain all the topics with real life examples and in the simplest possible way to make the students relate to the topic, make the class fun and in the process increase their grasp on the topic.

Class Length: Typical length of my lesson would be around 1hr-1.5hr and twice a week and one-to-one. Finish of with very minimum homework for the student to practice and remember what they have learnt

Qualifications/Experiences: I am qualified engineer from University of Birmingham and currently a masters student at KCL. I don't have exclusive tutoring experience but I have helped many of my friends and fellow students with Maths and Science doubts and any other query they might have. I have many times received a feedback from them stating I have explained the topic in a much more simpler way then the teacher and that it has helped them a lot.

Students: These lessons are catered for anyone who needs help with their maths or science class, projects, and assignments. Maths students till A levels and Science students till Grade 10 with any difficulty or questions are welcome. I will happily answer any questions and assist students on projects and assignments in Sciences beyond Grade 10 as well but teaching the content would be difficult.
