About Tony

I'm a full-time, self-employed tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. I am currently pursuing an engineering degree at Queen’s University, where I maintain a 3.9 GPA. I bring over two years of tutoring experience, having supported students in high school with math and physics, and I now work with learners from middle school to university level. I specialize in math, physics, calculus, and introductory engineering courses, and I offer both online and in-person tutoring. Whether you're preparing for school exams, AP or IB assessments, or university-level coursework, I tailor each session to meet your specific needs. My teaching approach is clear, logical, and practical. I focus on helping students understand the why behind each step, not just how to get the right answer. As an engineering student with a strong foundation in math and physics, I focus on helping students not just solve problems, but understand the reasoning behind each step. My goal is to make sure students grasp the core concepts and learn how to apply them to real-world situations. I believe that true learning happens when you understand why something works—not just how to do it.

What to Expect in a Lesson

Each lesson typically has two parts:

Problem Solving: We start by working through questions together to identify areas that need improvement.

Concept Application: After solving the problems, I guide students in understanding the concepts used and how to apply them in other contexts—whether it’s exams or real-life challenges.
