About Navdha

Hi! I'm a friendly and enthusiastic maths tutor who recently completed A Levels in Maths and Further Maths at one of the UK's leading specialist mathematics schools. I currently hold an offer to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Warwick.

Mathematics has always been one of my favourite subjects because of the way it encourages logical thinking, creativity and problem-solving. Over the years, this passion has led me to take part in national mathematics competitions, including the UK Intermediate and Senior Maths Challenges, the Senior Kangaroo and the UK Girls' Maths Challenge. These experiences have strengthened my own mathematical reasoning and taught me to approach challenging problems with confidence.

Having completed GCSE and A Level Maths myself only recently, I understand the challenges students face and know how to explain difficult topics in a way that's clear, patient and easy to understand. I remember how rewarding it felt when a concept finally clicked, and I aim to create that same experience for every student I teach.

While achieving excellent results is important, my goal goes beyond helping students pass exams. I want to help them develop confidence, curiosity and a genuine appreciation for mathematics. I believe that when students understand the reasoning behind a method rather than simply memorising it, they become more independent learners and often begin to enjoy the subject far more.

I also have experience supporting students in developing the mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills required for 11+ entrance exams, making me well suited to teach both younger learners and those preparing for GCSEs.

Whether your goal is to prepare for the 11+, improve classroom confidence or achieve a top GCSE grade, I'll provide supportive, personalised lessons that help you reach your full potential while making maths a subject you can genuinely enjoy.

About the lesson

Every lesson is carefully tailored to the individual student, because no two learners are the same. Before we begin, I'll identify your current strengths, areas for improvement and personal goals so that every lesson is focused on helping you make meaningful progress.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging and highly interactive. I create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence. Rather than simply memorising methods, we'll explore the reasoning behind them so you gain a deeper understanding and can tackle unfamiliar questions independently.

Lessons can be adapted for:

* 11+ Maths and mathematical reasoning
* KS3 Maths (Years 7–9)
* GCSE Maths (Foundation and Higher)
* Homework support and school topics
* Topic-by-topic revision
* Exam technique and past paper practice
* Stretch and challenge for high-achieving students aiming for Grades 8–9

Each lesson is designed to be engaging and productive, using clear explanations, worked examples and plenty of guided practice to reinforce understanding. We'll regularly revisit previous topics to strengthen long-term retention and build confidence over time.

Whether you're striving for a top grade, preparing for an important exam or simply looking to feel more comfortable in maths lessons at school, I'll provide the guidance, encouragement and personalised support you need to achieve your goals.

Lessons are held online and typically last one hour, with flexible scheduling available throughout the summer.
