About Mac

With eight years of experience tutoring students from middle school to university level, I bring both deep subject knowledge and a proven ability to teach effectively. I’ve helped countless students succeed in challenging subjects like Calculus, Discrete Math, and Logic by breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. My background in both education and information technology gives me a unique perspective on how math applies in the real world, which I use to make lessons more engaging and relevant. I’m committed to creating a supportive, respectful learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and growing their skills.

I take a student-centered approach to tutoring, focusing on building a strong foundation of understanding before moving into guided practice and problem-solving. Each lesson is tailored to the student's learning style and goals, typically starting with a quick review, followed by clear explanations, visual examples, and active practice. I’ve worked with students from middle school through college, and my background in education, IT, and real-world problem solving helps me make complex topics like Calculus, Discrete Math, and Logic more accessible. Whether you’re preparing for the SAT, struggling in a class, or just want to strengthen your math skills, I provide supportive, structured lessons that build confidence and results.
