About Aliyah
As a high schooler, I privately tutored my friends or their younger siblings on math during my senior year.
While I did not hold any official role while I attended community college, during lab hours, I actively sought out to help any student who was struggling with their course content.
Most recently, I served as a Learning Assistant, which is like a course-specific tutor that any student can get help from for free, for UCI's CS 141 (Concepts of Programming Languages) course.
I enjoy helping students learn, as it makes me feel like I am making a tangible difference in someone else's life.
For who I am as a person: I am a transfeminine Korean person who enjoys playing roguelike games, solving puzzles, and writing/reading sci-fi & fantasy novels.

For students that are pursuing a Bachelor's in computer science, as a CS tutor, I will go over any programming concept having a hard time understanding from your coursework. I will also review and aid in coding projects from your courses that you need help on by going over the prompt, prototyping (pseudo-code), and debugging the project with you.
For high school students and college students finishing their general education for maths, I can tutor in any math subject up to Calculus, where I will help by walking step-by-step through problems with the student, check homework answers, and, if requested, going ahead of the curriculum with the student
