About Shirina
Hello! I'm Shirina, a dedicated engineering student at McMaster University with a strong passion for both learning and teaching. My journey into tutoring began with a desire to share my love for math and science while helping others succeed academically.
As a student myself, I understand the challenges and frustrations that can arise when tackling complex subjects like math and science. Throughout my academic career, I've developed effective study strategies and problem-solving techniques that have proven successful for me and my peers.
What prompted me to teach is the joy of seeing fellow students overcome obstacles and gain confidence in their abilities. I find immense satisfaction in helping others grasp challenging concepts and witnessing their academic growth firsthand.
My tutoring experience spans working with students from Grades 9 to 12, where I've honed my skills in breaking down difficult topics into digestible pieces and fostering an engaging, interactive learning environment. I believe in tailoring my approach to each student's unique learning style and pace, ensuring that they not only understand the material but also develop a genuine interest in the subject.
