About Eliza

As the valedictorian of my 600-student class with a perfect 5.0 weighted GPA, I bring both academic excellence and genuine passion to STEM tutoring. Having completed AP Calculus before 11th grade and conducted original research as a sophomore, I understand how to break down complex concepts and make them accessible. My 12 years as a classical concert pianist have taught me the value of disciplined practice and patience in mastering challenging material. I specialize in transforming students' relationships with mathematics and science, helping them move from memorization to true understanding through interactive problem-solving and strategic questioning. Whether you're tackling AP Calculus, preparing for college-level STEM courses, or competing in mathematics competitions, I'm committed to helping you unlock your potential and achieve academic success with confidence.

About the lesson

As a valedictorian with a 5.0 GPA and 12 years of classical piano experience, I transform STEM learning by building deep understanding through interactive problem-solving, just like mastering a beautiful musical piece. My lessons flow from guided discovery to independent mastery using multiple approaches and strategic questioning that spark "aha!" moments. What sets me apart is completing AP Calculus early, conducting original research, and bringing artistic discipline to learning—plus my peer perspective helps me connect with student challenges. I specialize in high school students taking advanced STEM courses, helping them transition from memorization to true conceptual thinking and unlock their potential for college success.

Eliza is an exceptional tutor! I have an autistic child, so it's been hard trying to find someone willing to work with her, but Eliza stepped up on the first day. My daughter loves her, and Eliza helped my daughter go from a C+ in math to a A! Eliza is an amazing tutor, and I've never regretted having her tutor my daughter! Thank you so much, Eliza!!!
